The changes became quite evident with the advent of loose socialist policies in the 70s when the cry for freedom in all forms was also embraced by the government but in fact resulted in the relaxing of the accepted standards of social behaviour and included strong pushes by the "bleeding heart" movement which resulted in less disciplines at home and none at all at schools or at large in the community. Of interest was the push for freedom of speech which was more or less granted followed by freedom of information, some time later however the very proponents of these moves were amongst the first to constrain free speech and then freedom of information. So here we are with probably less of what we once had in the areas of community standards,freedom of speech and information all complements of those whose ideal was to strive for some thing better.
