if the DFS would give the broader (non-holder) market more confidence to invest it would seem to me to be a false economy to bypass it because bank finance is un-necessary (as an aside it's a free kick for the shorters who presumably would have been burned by how spectacular it would have been)

you could potentially raise capital at a higher price (assuming the DFS is very good) which is worth tens/hundreds of times the cost of the DFS in terms of building shareholder value

I know he is a maverick etc etc but this kind of approach gives me the pip!
