Geez you guys are being a bit ignorant I think. Have you ever heard of post traumatic stress disorder? Cops get this too you know, it's a fact that many cops experience things that are as bad as the very worst things one can imagine witnessing. Soldiers get PTSD as well, it's not just a headache or something that can be cured with pills. PTSD is there for life and not only affects the individual but also family.
