Chookie, you are starting to sound like another poster I spent too much time responding too when the replies ran out of sense (to me, anyway).

The forum I was referring to where facts seem to be sought and dispensed, was the Superannuation one, especially in relation to SMSF's. The share ones have very little of that!

SMSF's with negative returns? I've seen them and c'mon, you're asking for the ridiculous. By your own admission - impossible to calculate. That's obviously a path you willl never be satisfied with.
Of course managed funds and super funds are buy and hold, this is called 'true to label' generally, unless either it is a very active investment option (which costs more to manage - fees which you seem to hate) or a deliberate choice is made to change the investment selection - either by the member themselves or under advice. I'm not sure which world you live in, but from what I have seen, the costs to switch investments - twice in 6 months - should be relatively minimal.

I'd like to see your evidence SPECIFICALLY of how fees would have actually "would have destroyed my retirement fund". Oh and secondly, what do you mean by 'your fee industry' when you have absolutely no idea who I am and what I do?

You seem to have this distain and recurring comment about FEES. And on this basis, I don't see any more reason to continue this exchange.
    Cheers.

    PS - I don't have a boss.
