I can see real problems for VSA when using the ASX200.
The price is weighted while the volume isn't.
Thus for BHP which is about 10% of the XJO it will have a 10% influence on price.
While for volume it only has the same influence as any other stock . (0.5%).
It is actually more complicated than that because it is based on the BHP % when the index was first made up.
