    Comment: A bullish engulfing candle on solid volume (109% of the 10-Day Average). It looks like we have a Santa Rally.

    Energy was up a little less than the others pulled down by Woodside which is still having a hangover from a poor report last week. Woodside was the only stock down in the Energy Sector. Defensives performed poorly as investors switched out of those sectors into more risk oriented stocks.

    RSI.9: 36.9. Below 50 but rising from below 30.
    MACD Histogram. Marginally below zero. Neutral. Positive divergence confirmed.
    MACD . Below zero. But hooking up from a low level.
    Stochastic: 9.55. Crossed above it signal line. Needs to cross above its signal line to confirm.
    CCI.14: -103.6. Turning up. Indicator was below -200. A cross above -100 will confirm.
    All indicators have turned up. Positive.

    Here’s the chart for the Australian Financial Sector. It’s slightly more positive than the XJO. That’s a good sign.
