Perhaps, but fmg went up masses way before a rock was sold.
It's all about potential, $1b conservative potential.
If Vitrogro starts selling well when released in the UK or starts taking market share, they will be taken over for sure.
In my opinion today's deal, whilst good for making profits, is about positioning us for a takeover. If the "lesser" product company went for $750m (which has since "failed" in a trial), then Vitrogro will be worth at least the same.
