Came across this article. Everyone is too quick to blame anyone other than themselves. Obviously it's fair to argue that the people were aided by lax Gov policy and inability of the Gov to change it, probably because they were busy enjoying the corrupt system themselves.
Somedays, I whine myself when the Gov closes a loop hole in our system. Eg. The executives' living away expenses are being targeted. Or means test introduced for certain subsidies etc. I guess paying upfront sure refunding layer with drastic austery measures. No such thing as a free lunch.
