I probably should have said HIGH INFLATION which is certainly coming with all the printing of money going on. I agree Hyperinflation is not really good for anyone, but HIGH inflation is very good for gold.
With Japan you are comparing apples and oranges. I lived there for 15 years. People had/have a very high savings rate (in the Post Office that the Govt uses), they don't allow unemployment and they build bridges to nowhere.
Forget Japan as a model for the US or Europe.
There is a LAW, for every dollar printed, it MUST devalue every other dollar in circulation. It is people that think they understand economics and want to tamper with markets (like you!) that got us here.
