the bass metal mine is the nearest off the Cradle mt link road, from the Burnie to Tullah road which has been recently upgraded .There is a toll trucking operation or was 3years ago from the old mt Bischcoff open cut tin mine at Waratah to Rosebery mine. tandem trucks of low grade ore.
The last 10 kms over Mt Black is the slowest part, from tullah to rosebery, it is one of the fun bits of the Targa
rally.
