For mine, it has only ever been about whether MHM can commercialize an industry changing technology from an original plant in Australia, and if you really understand the end markets and industry cost curves you know the upside far outweighs any delays we may have along the way.

Hi all
The above is from Supermapes as he says you really need to understand the AL industry, below is a article I found about the cost of building a New AL plant of 250,000 tonnes.
Also below is a article about Alcoa's coal power AL smelter in Rockdale TX a very good read !!
------------------------------------------------------------
What would it cost, at this turn of the new millennium into the 21st century, to build a typical aluminum reduction plant with an annual production capacity of 250,000 tonnes? Based on the most recently completed plants, an estimated $1.5 billion would be required. Add to this the requirement that this new smelter have its own electricity-generating facilities to service it. This would increase the installation cost by $300 million to $406 million. All of this assumes that a suitable site location can be found with the necessary support services. Today, in the United States, it would take several years to get the required permits and clearance. This would involve the need for environmental impact reports, hearings with regulatory agencies and local and national governments, with no guarantee that final approval would not be challenged by appeals to court jurisdictions.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Since the 1950s, Pennsylvania-based Alcoa Inc. has strip-mined lignite, a low-grade, brown coal, in southwestern Milam County--about 50 miles east of Austin. The lignite, considered so poor that it has been compared to burning dirt, is cheap fuel for Alcoa's aluminum smelter--the largest in North America. The plant sprawls over 7,000 acres adjoining the mine near the town of Rockdale. The smelter runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, powered by four on-site power plants. It is a major contributor to air pollution in the Dallas - Ft. Worth and Austin areas and one of the dirtiest plants in Texas.
It contributes to the pollution problems in Austin and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The aluminum smelter here discharges roughly 104,000 tons of air emissions per year, including over 60,000 tons of acid rain.
Combustion of coal is the second major energy source for aluminum production.
The Alcoa Aluminum Smelter in Rockdale, TX requires 36 million pounds of coal to fuel its operations EACH DAY.
In one year, a typical 500 Megawatt coal fired power plant:
Burns 1.4 million tons of coal
Uses 2.2 billion gallons of water
Generates 10,000 tons of sulfur dioxide and 10,200 tons of nitrogen oxide
Produces
3.7 million tons of carbon dioxide
500 tons of small particulate matter
220 tons of hydrocarbons
720 tons of carbon monoxide
125,000 tons of ash
193,000 tons of sludge
170 pounds of mercury
225 pounds of arsenic
114 pounds of lead and
4 pounds of cadmium68
------------------------------------------------------------
This is why Alcoa needs MHM technology not only to reduce landfill, but also to reduce pollution in there AL plants as well as the cost of running the plants.
How much will it be to build our 250,000-300,000+ plant in TN ? at a guess maybe 10-20 million, small in terms of building a new AL plant as in the above article.
Sometimes you need to look outside the box to see what the big picture is, and that is the future of the AL industry is changing.
The three R's - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Good luck to all that hold MHM.
The technology we have is out of this world and soon to be around this world.
