I worked for NEC here in Melbourne and my Japanese colleagues could not believe the amount of available open space here in Melbourne and as they loved golf the abundance of golf courses that are so affordable and available to the public.
Over there you need to be very rich to stand a chance of joining a golf club .. and there's not too many that would be available in the cities.
every inch of space is a premium in the big cities there - Adelaide is just a rural town by comparison.
