Had they made these units in Australia they may have been able to gain access to Export Finance guaranteed by the Australian Govt. QHL has recently negotiated such an arrangement for 10.5 million! It was a great outcome. They were able to capitalise the interest so that repayments arent required until 2015.
Time for the CFU to think about such options if that would assist it down the cost curve.
