I know your post was to Rod but I also wanted to comment :-)
I would not be too concerned with the sluggish trading this week. IMO if we rallied again this week then this would suggest short term money was moving into the stock (in anticipation of the announcement) and mean that we would more likely see selling on the back of the announcement. I.e. buy the rumour sell the fact.
If we hang around the $1 level then I think there would be a good chance for an increase in the SP. How big? well obviously no one knows and it will be entirely depended on the announcement.
A couple of points that I think could have the potential to lead to a strong gain (and what I will be looking out for are):
1. Solid confirmation of financing or that no CR will be needed. 2. Anything that mentions a second plant or a potential upgrade to plant one happening in the future (especially with the rail spur on the property). 3. The value of the cash/land/contra incentives equating to more than 10% of the plant construction cost (i.e. >$2m). 4. Any other surprising incentives that may provided cheap financing, long term tax benefits, etc.
MHM has in the past rallied quite well on good announcements. However, there has been a lot of notice about the upcoming preso so it could be different this time.
The incentives might also be underwhelming which could lead to selling.
