My post above was by no means trying to bad mouth Orbis. I hope no one’s got the wrong idea. Orbis are just protecting their investment. What does smart money do when the markets scared??- They buy up. However in Orbis’s case, instead of accumulating stock in another company, they’ve decided to protect their current investment, in company’s they quite clearly believe in. IMO it’s a bullish indicator. Watch what happens when the markets eventually turn around......

Also- someone above asked why would Orbis try to push the price down through someone like RBS?... Well IMO there’s a few reasons, which also coincide with what I’ve mentioned above. Orbis and most likely other big holders wanted to split the company (This is common knowledge- no conspiracy here), this way they can place their bets into oncology, and protect their revenue stream at the same time ( Fonda). They will also have more of an idea on what exactly Fonda is worth, and if a buyout card is on the table. In todays market its high risk investing in any stock, regardless of how well it’s performing. So if you’re a big insto then why would you be investing in new company’s right now, when you know inside information about another??, A company of which you confidently own almost 20% in already. If you believe in this company then wouldn’t you rather invest your money back into it?? Knowing that this will ensure no more dilution occurs, no more debt problems occur, and better still -it means all revenue the company makes will be returned straight back to your pocket (Once the split happens).

You see the split is where the real benefit comes into play- it’s the icing on the cake. Orbis has now effectively hedged their bets- by maintaining the same equivalent holdings in ACL: Fonda, HOWEVER they’re now setup to own an even BIGGER stake in ACL: Oncology. Remember Orbis have contributed the most part in the placement, so have the rights to the most options, and therefore currently sit in the best position to enter into oncology-( Pre IPO). Their position is effectively better than any other insto’s or investors, as they are the only ones who have maintained their 19. X % holdings all the way through. This sets them up well ahead of pole position in the IPO.... If they choose to play it this way ;)
