Great post EMC2,
1. A cap raising should be avoided at all cost.
2. If absolutely unavoidable, it should be 100% offered to the shareholders first. Often the fat cat's are offered the lion's share (sort of follows) and the poor investors get something pathetic like a maximum of $15,000 worth each. That would be complete rubbish.
I have also been doing some research on other companies who have offered a record date in the future, to allow the SP to appreciate, and their have been several that I have found so far. Will post more when I have time this weekend.
