    which had nothing to do with large increases to FHOG across states and massive govt. stimulus spending economy wide to the tune of tens of billions?????

    The govt. estimate of the cost of increasing the FHOG in 2008 was $1.5 billion basd on 150,000 taking up the grant. I beleive the actual number was closer to 200,000 people. Factor that in (as well as even higher grants available in regional Vicotria) and the tens of billions spent elsewhere which helped boost the economy and i think you have your answer boss.

    Try some critical analysis, and the sum total of your argument wouldn't be "prices went up.........mmmmmmmm!"
