    re: Ann: AMP 51_11 - AMP Capital and MUTB ent... I agree Mattw, I kicked AMP to the kerb quite a number of years ago, for the dog that it was. I started watching it a year or so ago and the hardest thing to get my head around was that they were actually performing well. I waited six months for the other shoe to drop, so I could say "yep, thats AMP for you" however all I saw was that they were going from strength to strength. To the point I bought back in mid year at a slightly higher rate than it is now. I have also accumulated more since.

    The SP devaluation was not AMP's fault, but the Euro mess as one can see across the board. Even having said that AMP has held up remarkably well considering. IMO opinion between the AXA deal and this one (not to mention a few other acquisitions along the way), things are looking bright for AMP's bottom line over the next few years.

    They have turned me from a knocker to a supporter and thats no easy feat. I consider the next few years to be very interesting for AMP.
