I pretty much agree with macky. No mention of the MDT results which suggests no oil recovered from them.

So either there's no moveable oil, or it's formation damage stopping it.

The lateral with underbalanced drilling may help if it's formation damage but at this stage it doesn't look promising IMO.

Once again, though, we're left trying to read between the lines because the ann doesn't tell us what we need to know. What happened with the MDTs? Was there fluid recovery? What did the wireline logs suggest about porosity and oil saturation?

Without this info anybody here can only guess. If logs and MDTs indicate full saturation but no flow due to formation damage, then the lateral could be a savior.

But if the logs indicate 60% saturation or less and the MDTs recovered a small amount of water, things look very dire indeed.
