here is a cheapie for those looking for a bargain....

    http://www.news.com.au/money/property/australias-cheapest-house/story-e6frfmd0-1226219886217

and I bet none here would show an interest.....

I bought one a few years back for not much more...it had a similar small town sized population....(which then tripled within about 3 years)
I bought it for a home for a family member...within 3 years, it had tripled in price....
about 2004, when all those tree changers arrived on the scene in droves....I had no intention of selling...but the agent twisted my arm, and I pocketed some nice profits...

another family member scooped up a similar little unloved unrenovated house...in one of those tiny towns...and loving the new life,,,,the house was so cheap that they took early retirement...
after selling a similar priced bargain in FNQ, for 4 times the cost, after only 3-4 years....
I guess those days are behind us now...
    or maybe not
its not everyones cup of tea....but I know there are some great bargains out there....out miles away from the city

ps these tiny towns, have mobile phones, the internet etc, so great for those who work from home...close proximity to air travel, and short travel times to large regional centres
    cheers
