Oh, so here's that feel good message....

I have spent many hours reading stock specific posts on HC throughout 2011. Often there is a mix of sentiment and opinion, expertise, etc, and I guess every stock has it's "legend" or "local hero" or whatever you want to call them. We all need these stock threads for our longer term plays and I'm sure we all visit them and post, etc, etc.

BUT....and it's a great big but, sorry to say!

Compared to the DT thread - be it pre, morning, arvo, after hours, or weekend....there is always a degree of bitching and sniping and negativity, and the sky is falling, blah, blah, etc, etc....it almost makes me feel like reading those threads is a necessary evil. I have to do it to keep up with my longer terms plays, but I'm not sure I really enjoy it.

I NEVER feel this way when I am reading or posting on the DT threads! It's all short, to the point, mostly positive, upbeat, etc, etc, and there is almost never any nastiness or bitching going on. And that's why I love the DT forum and it's threads, and most of all those who post regularly on here.

The stock specific threads are like a marriage that has run it's course - there are good days, bad days, and in between days.

The DT threads are like the casual r/ship or "friends with benefits" type scenario, LOL - no drama, no stress, everybody's happy and there's no pressure. People just enjoying themselves and taking things one or a few days at a time.

Not sure if I said that as eloquently as I'd intended, but did the best I could at this particular time. Hope you all know what I am trying to say: I enjoy having found the DT forum and it's my favourite place on HC.
