It's an interesting announcement germainst but similarities with Andewa IMO are not there, not yet anyway.
Andewa is huge in a world scale whereas the Irak IP-3D area is from memory only 1.5km2 and the anomalies are fairly small in size compared to Andewa's. IMO Paige will have to prove much bigger grades because the tonnage doesn't look anywhere near as impressive as Andewa's. Good luck to her.
It's also a valid point about time scales. I think by mid year 2012 we can be certain about Andewa potential size and grades and the MC will rerate accordingly but final JORC's will be later, if all the geophysics anomalies are mineralised. There is the south Eastern sector of Andewa which hasn't 3D- IP coverage which potentially will expand the area even more.
IRN's and Xstrata's deposit in the Phillipine's has had a long time scale as well. Its also had major issues with open pit mining bans etc. It seems many deposits are stuck in the mud regarding permitting yet they still find wealthy partners who are willing to pay big $ for the right type of big deposit. It seems that Andewa can potentially bypass many of these impediments and that is probably one reason why its in drawing so much attention by the majors.
