Wild, you've got to be joking, right? It is done all the time and for all types of products. Maybe some of the variation comes about if the goods are produced locally, but it is the ability of the potential customer to pay that determines the local pricing, and isn't that what free enterprise is all about?
That is why companies go to so much trouble to prevent their products being moved between countries outside of their control. For a small example look at DVD's and how they tried to control them with country codes.
