    I'm not sure what's going on right now, but they did very very little reserch on sub prime bonds. They were effectively "gamed" by Wall Street into giving tranches of this stuff AAA ratings when a decline in house prices of only 8% would see the value of those bonds = zero. They dropped the ball in monumental fashion, yet aren't even close to being alone in that regard.

    That said, i don't think we need them to tell us the price rises over the last decade are unsustainable....some simple math and common sense is all you need.
