By way of comparison.
CFU hasn't relied on many grants - numerous capital raisings. Now a multi-international award winner for innovative technology.
While for the renewable purist it is not renewable (it current relies on natural gas), currently it is providing the following environmental benefits via its Bluegen models:
Installed Systems : 105
Currently Generating :113kW
Generated Electricity : 453630kWh
Avoided CO2 : 175 Tonnes
Having said that, the renewable purist is being short sighted - it won't be long before fuel cell technology will be able to rely on renewable fuel as the technology evolves. But small steps first (as other posters have pointed out)
Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of CETO, but I favour the companies that make those vital small steps rather than (as you have said it Jukes) "pussy footing around" and procrastinate taking the plunge on one project. The geothermal companies IMO are doing exactly the same thing.
At least CFU is starting to earn revenue.

(p.s. I wonder if there will be any more announcements - almost a week to go before the close of the SPP)
