boppy, I agree that both HRL and EHR are possibly the pick of the geotherm bunch on the ASX. I don't know too much about HRL (not having any money in it), but I do know that one of EHR's directors, who was a director of HRL last year, has a majority interest in HRL (or rather, his wife does). biache123 is invested in both companies and knows a lot more about HRL and can probably outline some of the comparitive differences for you. Certainly, the recent announcement on HRL was a good one, however, it does mean that they will only retain a 30% interest in the projects. EHR has an 87.5% interest in the Copahue project, so I'm not that interested in Geothermal One Inc.

You made some comment about the comparitive size of the sites. As I understand it, geotherm projects only require a very small footprint, so the size of the site isn't a factor in determining the capacity of a project. EHR's advantage in this project is the current infrastructure at their site. They are essentially reactivating and upgrading an existing geothermal power plant and using the existing power lines to distribute the energy.

Good point regarding the winter weather affecting the construction program, however, this will most likely coincide with the detailed design and procurement phases of the project. No doubt, they will be able to get some of the early site works completed before winter.

As I understand it, the Fiale project in Djibouti is just as important to EHR as the Copahue project, so I have no doubt that they will progress this as soon as possible. The team at EHR is quite small (refer to overhead costs) and they have been focusing on the TSX listing and the Copahue project at the moment.

Having followed EHR for some time now, I am very impressed with the management team being led by Torey Marshall. They seem to be on top of everything and are showing that they can meet their targets.
