Scottaru, That's a cheap shot at Singapore Airlines. Qantas have a good safety record but they also have had some luck. Any airline that makes drastic cost saving measures at the expense of safety and a happy crew for the benefit of its shareholders is playing with fire. Just one example is aircraft maintenance. The same airline who introduced a loyalty- customer rewards - Frequent Flyer Program (that used to be free) then introduced a fee and once it had its share of Australians in the scheme, then it decided to shift the goal posts for its benefit. Have you ever tried to use your points??? The attitude of the cabin crew on many flights says it all. They are not a happy bunch. Now if you have shares in Qantas, well good luck but as for myself and droves of others that have dumped them then it is only really the safety aspect that rates them number 2. They are the most expensive airline in the world period and not for any good reason in my opinion.
