Not talking of individual honesty or dishonesty.
Talking about deliberate dishonesty being promoted as an act of religious observance.
And promoted and condoned as such by the testament itself.

as always, you are very cute in giving specific examples of individuals.
The Koran to my knowledge, is the only one that says,
" Go ahead, abdul, Allah permits you to lie to an Infidel as your words have no meaning other than to get what you want. Thou shalt be rewarded for thy lies which I shall miraculously turn to good deeds that shall entitle you to eternal heavenly spleandour with virgins of your choice.
Remember though Abdul, the bigger the lie, the younger the virgin
ps. To the uninitiated these were my words but that's the general thrust of what is endorsed according to the Koran.
