Not sure if that's the AFR article in the papers over the weekend.

If it is, there's a few interesting things worth mentioning in the item:

- current MD of BOC says mine could be re opened for as little as $300m

- mine is still very profitable with robust grades, is one of the world's top half dozen mines

- Chinese have been showing interest in the mine, even before the Ramu project in PNG was bought into by them

- Rebel leader Francis Ona appear to be softening his stance

- Newly elected autonomous government needs $$$ to pay for election promises

-Boc board says they are open for any negotiations re: the mine

and mentions a few negatives too such as tax dispute, billion dollar court case, etc
