More of a trader's lament story this one. I started trading on a short term basis in 2008 during the GFC, while living in Perth i was told by a very good source to purchase SLR(Silver Lake Resources) at 10c. I sold months later at 12c to buy my wife an $11,000 engagement ring. The ring money is worth over $300,000 today and my wife is reminded on a daily basis.
I've been caught out on illiquid stocks with great prospects and been burnt by stocks too liquid getting manipulated.
The single most important trade for me is the stock moving higher especially in this scratchy market, too many stocks heading south for no legitimate reason and trying to second guess the market with a contrarian play has cost me. Good luck traders and have a merry xmas.
