The Australian government must step in to ensure that Assange's rights are not abused - Julia could perhaps even call him and ensure him that he wil be given consular support. As if.
Gillard actually said he had broken the law but nobody can actually articulate what law that is.
This from the news report - "The signatories said they were not commenting on the sexual assault allegations against Assange, which they agreed were serious and should be investigated."
Well that's simply a crock. For starters he is only required for questioning. In his autobiography he points out that he left Sweden a month after the incidents. His greatest crime there is no calls, no flowers, no cards - nothing.
AP - he would have said "free" not "for free" :)
