The quality of clothing in Phuket compared to Bali is very, very good and very cheap.
I bought 3 pairs of cargo shorts that has heaps of zipper pockets in them. I still have them 4 years later. I wear them when I'm carrying a bit of cash as they are very secure.
I'll give you a tip of something to take to asia with you. The best tip I was ever given. You only need one power plug converter and take a 4 or 6 pin power board with you. Plug the board in the adapter and that essentially gives you 4 or 6 power plugs. That tip has been priceless for me....
