Just a coupla small points;

Datang test burn was one of Kos's last ego fed confabulatory brainstorms after he had lost the plot with Tincom.

There was nothing in Tincom for Kos,,,, it was Townsend's (Podium Energy) deal,,, Townsend would have received the lion's share of kudos and financial reward from the initial Tincom deal.... Kos couldn't bear that.... even though it was in shareholder's best interests,,,, it was not in his.

Thank heavens there were enough reasonable people left to salvage the IP for share holders.

What would have been the use of spending half a mil just to find out the product was compatable with yet another country's lignite upgrade plans,,,, they know it works already,,,,I was saying that the moment the ASX anns re Datang was released.
Indian, Viet, and Indo tests amongst many other sample runs provided proved AOK too,,,, C bros would have loved it,,, extra work for em in hard times,,,, but King Coal could never close a deal.... Why would you book a test drive for a 2014 model car in 2011,,, if you haven't even got the 2014 model off the drawing board ?
With no modules in production to supply the product why big tonnage test burns ??,,,, way ahead of reality.

Sorta like mining lignite without having a mega $$$ megastucture in place to stabilize/densify the unstable raw product,,,, just money up in smoke. Dig up lignite,,, and it will self combust within 3 to 7 days QED,,,even at reduced moisture levels as was the case at Maddingley late this year..The Bacchus Marsh CFA report makes for interesting reading.
This is why LV lignite has an 18hr turn around from mine to boiler. If BM is ever mined it will need to be developed in tandem with a densification plant,,,2016 at least... and that's with all the planets aligned and pollies unsaturated.
(Not to mention conflicts of interest in pollies share declarations per HRL)These are just some of the reasons why BM lignite or Leonardite was always mooted by ESI officials as best left where it lay... I hope the latest venture there goes well for all hoping it will,,, but am glad ESI have nothing to do with it.
