El Capo, the sell-off has only been due to the risk of Eurozone meltdown. And I can safely say all respective countries are going to do everything they can to avoid Default. I agree that the Sovereign debt crisis is a precarious situation, but no country wants to default for obvious reasons. Indebted countries can sell valueable Infrastructure assets, like natural gas pipelines / mains electricity grids etc. etc. I know for a fact some countries are considering exactly this. Central Banks like Portugal could also consider selling some of it's generous Gold reserves. Austerity is already underway. There are concerted efforts to get out of this mess, but it will take time.

Personally I think we're less than 3 years away from a serious Energy Crisis, so there's still a need to transition to Decentralised Energy on a LARGE SCALE. Germany understands this. Eventually countries like the US will too (right now they think Nuclear will save them, however Nuclear Energy is still a Centralised System & thus inefficient).

The markets can be crazy El Capo. If The Fed announces QE3 anytime soon we'll have a massive rally. But I think The Fed will save that silver bullet for when it's required...
