I cannot believe I would ever say this, but after having heard the latest album I think it may be for the best. Mangini (new drummer) steps back and lets others shine, works much better than last three albums with Portnoy.
As for Morse and Portnoy I have all Morse's solo albums (just because I collect everything Dream Theater related) but other than drumming (Portnoy) there is little there for me to admire. A matter of personal taste of course.
