If they re-introduce Nauru against expert advice because of Abbotts pig-headedness not willing to accept any other option, if it fails do you recommend he be charged for crimes against humanity. He already carries much responsibility for holding up and opposing legislation that would permit Governments to make the tough calls on border protection. I posted well before the recent tragedy that his actions would come under scrutiny if a tragedy inevitably occurred and now it has.
The experts say Nauru wont work but it might get introduced simply because Abbott wants to win the politics on the issue. Its got nothing to do with the welfare of the asylum seekers.
Liberal Alexander Downer said the negotiating should be done by Coalition Ministers not Abbott and yet Abbott wont allow that and instead makes foolish challenges to the PM at a personal level. He sounds like a battered brain injured boxer engaged in pre-fight histrionics. A disgraceful performance and I pray for the day that Malcolm Turnbull or some other sensible Liberal takes over.
Liberals of great conscience like Russell Broadbent and others need to bring this extreme political opportunitist under control.
