Best performer for me this year was SAR, only because I was lucky with my entry timing.

    Best for next year:
TRY, check out the enormous pennant forming over the past 4 months, would indicate a possible quick move to $6 once steady production confirmed. Arguably the lowest cost producer on the ASX.

SAR, high grade Red October ore to come through in 2012

GRY, progress in proving up a multi-million oz in West Africa, likely takeover target, seriously cashed up.

RRL, sailed through the last month of volatility with incredible resilience, someone likes this company, Newmont currently own 17%

My worst performer is TGZ, lower through-put than anticipated, ball and chain hedging at $800, but fantastic strategic position in Senegal. Could be the dark horse in my portfolio next year.

Most tedious gold stock: IGR, if you follow it, you know why.

Added considerably to my gold exposure this past 2 weeks, let's see if I am the clever one or just blind-sided by that last move in the gold price.

Good luck next year to all those that share in this 'little distraction', called the sharemarket. Take time to remember what is important.
