Hi All, The Panasonic web site has a good explanation of how it processes methane (natural gas) to H2 + CO2 by using steam. I guess this is similar to CFU, but interestingly, while the overall recoverable energy is comparable (81%), the electrical efficiency is ~40%, compared to CFU's 60%, meaning CFU is producing 50%!! more electricity for the same energy input.
I guess this will be weighed against the system cost (Bluegen is 3X the cost). Volume will fix the cost, efficiency isn't so easy to fix and will give Bluegen the edge over time IMO.
