They can come and live in Melbourne. The glut here is really scary. We have enough empty aparments to house all the homeless in China.
I think the real question is what happens when people start losing their jobs enmasse in this recession that no one really expected or could see it coming.
Those losing their jobs will include both the landlords and tenents.
Funny nobody here on the forum ever mentions this, many tenents are A LOT MORE WEATHLY than their landlords (all they have is debt). Their NET worth is pitiful.
I know many people renting sitting on mountain of cash (some earlier sold their own homes some chose to rent because they cold deploy their cash in other investments).
