Two points:
1. No, you have posted a MONTHLY chart of price and a DAILY
chart of volume. To draw a downtrend line touching the
upspikes in DAILY volume to support your argument is
plainly absurd. If you look at a MONTHLY chart of volume
over the period you have charted you will see that from
about May 2010 to now volume has been fairly constant.
Alternatively you could use a moving average of volume for
the same purpose.
2. In my opinion, it is far more likely that any decline in
average volume (and it's very debatable that there is a
decline) is due to the continuing conversion of CDI's into
common stock (Nasdaq).
