I would love to post the response I sent to the 'Christmas Email' I received from them but I'd never be allowed on this forum again!
It's absolutely disgusting that a courtesy email was not sent to ALL customers advising us of the situation and what is being done to rectify it.
I've heard a few people on this forum state that things like this happen and to just accept it. Well, yes they do but generally a company of Etrade's size would a) have the IT infrastructure to deal with it and b) have the common courtesy to advise it's customers.
I am surprised this has not been in the News anywhere in Australia. I might have to look at some of the newspapers and find an email address for one of the financial journo's and see if they'll write something about this.
I heard from someone that the site was actually hacked by some people from China? Not sure if that's true or not but it would definitely explain the lengthy delay.
