My concern with any of the derivative trades is that you are bettIng against a counterparty if they are a market maker type your chance of making a profit wold be low especially if leverage is involved or automatic stop. Losses

I was actually wondering if anyone knew how to enter a genuine short sell where you say purchase a short on say BHP and have to cover etc.

Is that possible in Australia for retailers or is that more of an insto trick?
