    hmmm, those very generous pension schemes are the biggest reasons the eurozone is in such major strife now....

    I understand in Greece they retire at 55 on a very generous pension...what on earth were they thinking...

    in australia they are increasing the pension age...it is no longer at age 65, it depends on your date of birth, for some now it is 67, in the past women were eligible at 60, that is extended to 65 in the future...
    there is constant talk of increasing it to age 70
    there may not be much of an age pension in the future
    you are encouraged to save your money for your retirement...not wait for a govnut handout...

    even if you owned you own home, with no mortgage, it would be very difficult to survive on the most basic needs on the current pension...
