No. The Chinese are not bidding against Han Long.

The Chinese is Han Long.

The Chinese is also Hunan Valin.

Both are tools of the ChiCom government as state interests dressed up in sheep (private entity) clothing.

Now that Han Long (a spanner in the tool box) is broken.

The Chicom government reaches for another spanner (called Hunan Valin).

It's that simple.

Hunan is telling the whole world that it is exiting from FMG with lame pretext (in order to show that it is really using it's own funds and not taking a large wad of cash from the PRC government).

It can also tell the FIRB it already owns a slice of IO assets in Simandou Guinea
