To assume every one has the same values and aspirations as ones self is the height of arrogance in my opinion.
Probably most Muslims, alot of serious christians, many enviromentalists, communists, socialists and other special interest groups are going to have there individual take on what constitutes a better life. To imply the western capitalistic model is better would be discrimitory to some people.
I am not opposed to the mine, I dont know if it is in the best interests of the Martu or not. I post because the question of what the Martu want or will vote arises. I see some anomalise, why did the Martu not accept the first deal and what is Gordon Mandijalu going on about. It does seem that the good commercial terms havent convinced everyone the deal is in there best interest. If that is correct why is that? The first agreement was considered ground breaking.
