It is an old term used by the older members of The Royal & Ancient Karoon Golf Club. Senior members include President Swanny, Club Captain & Social Director Golfzoner. It dates from the days when KAR was in the low $1 range on its original climb from being a pitch n put practice course to the fully fledged championship course it became (& will become again).
