Alderley, you make some good points in your reply re:buyback. My main point is not that QBE isn't creative or are not actively pursuing acquisition opportunities, the Optima purchase in Puerto Rico announced on 21/12 is proof of that. I just felt that even a small buyback on market would be a good deployment of funds at this point in time, especially if QBE's cash pool return is somewhat inadequate at present as it probably is. What investors forget though, is how very well managed this company really is. You buy insurance shares, you do buy risk, but you buy the potential for very good upside, too. This will come again.
