volumes and transaction sizes

After healthy volumes mid December, there was a bit of a slow down in trader activity thereafter. The SP dropped and IMO looks to have bottomed. I'm no trader so the short term SP is only an opportunity to average down for the long term. We've started 2012 reasonably well, with another increase in daily volumes from yesterday's trading and more willing to pay a higher price for WHN. All good signs.

Another statistic to observe with all companies is the average transaction size per trade. We want bigger money and therefore bigger investors to be buying up. Today's volume was just over 13 million shares traded at a value of $650,000. At 136 trades this equates to just under $4800 per trade, which is reasonable for a small cap. Something to watch for the future.
