Opaline, Yes there are persistent silly frauds. You seem to dismiss the most obvious one. That you acknowledge natural variability is a start. There is of course mountains of evidence, real evidence to show us that.
To base beliefs of CAGW overriding natural variability is just plain silly. The DEGREE of climate variability is somewhat chaotic. However cyclical, the duration and timing of those cycles is unknown. We can use history as a guide to the possibilities in the fuure natural cycles of course, but the link of CO2 and warming is unfounded.
CAGW is the persistent silly fraud. There are no "monstrous changes" occurring outside the parameters of natural variability.
