Is this old news? How can Range did not announce the full exersie of options with the ASX? To me, if all options exercise & Range received another $15.5 m , its good news!!



Range Resources (RRL) has raised approximately AU$15.5 million (£10.25 million), following the exercise of all its options that expired on 31 December.

The exercise has been facilitated by a funding and share-placing arrangement with Old Park Lane Capital (OPL) and 70 million new shares issued on exercise of the options are being placed with clients of OPL at $0.115 (0.75p).

Range also took the opportunity to provide a brief operational update, confirming that the Albrecht #1 appraisal well situated on the North Chapman Ranch Project in Texas is currently drilling ahead at a depth of 9,150 feet. The well has a target depth of 14,500 feet.

Range holds a 25% interest in the initial Smith #1 well and a 20% interest in further wells on the North Chapman Ranch project. The project area covers 1,680 acres in what the company says is "one of the most prolific oil and gas producing trends in the State of Texas". Drilling of the first well resulted in a commercial discovery 242 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas, 15 million barrels (mmbbls) of oil and 19 mmbbls of natural gas liquids.

If successful, the Albrecht #1 appraisal well is anticipated to prove up reserves in the south-east portion of the North Chapman Ranch licence area, and support a reclassification of current possible (P3) reserves into the probable (P2) and proved (P1) categories. Proved reserves are quantities of petroleum which can be estimated with reasonable certainty, while possible reserves are estimated with low certainty. Probable reserves lie somewhere between the two
